We were appointed by easyJet to assist with design and refurbishment of their washroom facilities in its Luton HQ. The project included 6 washrooms over 2 floors in a high security building with minimal space for a compound so a meticulous phased plan of works was required.
We commenced work in August 2019, carrying out the complete renovations on a floor by floor basis. Removal of existing washrooms was done over weekends when the offices were closed to keep disruption to the premises to a minimum. All other works were carried out during normal working hours with the office at full capacity.
Across the site we use integrated plumbing systems to conceal all pipework and cisterns, creating an easy to clean space in each washroom.
Sensors were fitted to control the urinal flush operations, which across the site delivers significant savings in water and sewerage costs. Additionally, a PIR LED lighting system was installed so that washroom lights are only activated when a user is inside. Ingress protected LED lighting was also installed, along with Luxury Karndean Urbus SR vinyl flooring that was fitted throughout the main washrooms.
In the disabled washrooms we used full Doc-M packs which contains grab rails, raised toilet pan with a paddle flush lever, wash basin with lever operated taps and non-slip Altro safety flooring.
The full project was met with high praise from the client and was delivered on budget and on time.
